Welcome to this Christmas Day edition of PO Box 26; a happy christmas to you all, and thank very much for sending in such an abundance ol mail.
Thank you LARRY BLISARD from PENNSYLVANIA in the UNITED STATES for sending us a Christams card wishing us deep and lasting happiness. More Christmas greetings from GEORGE VIERA from NEW YORK and from RONAN Mc DONAGH from COUNTY KILDARE in IRELAND.
His compatriot ARTHUR O'MALLEY from COUNTY TIPPERARY also wishes us all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and he sends his sympathy to the workers of shipyard ol Uool iu the town of Temse, which was recently dwclared bankrupt. He sincerely hopes that their sacrifices haven't been in vain and that a solution can still be found.
More season's greetings from ARI RIIKONEN who writes to us from FINLAND, and from JACK & EDITH MOLYNEUX from LIVERPOOL in ENGLAND. They've added a photograph of themselves taken while they were staying with their daughter near the town of Oxford. I must say that if that photo was taken in her home, it looks absolutely beautiful.
I hope Father Christmas doesn't object to my mentioning his great rival St Nicholas today, but Mr ROBINSON from LEEDS in ENGLAND tells us that our recent features on St Nicholas were really fascinating. They reminded him of his time in Belgium during the 1st World War when he could take advantage of the fact that after the 6th of December, all large stores tended to get rid of their stock of toys at sale—prices. And that's when Mr Robinson would huy piomwnts lor his cousins and friends in England.
No sales so soon aftor St Nicholas nowadays, Mr Robinson, because with Christmas and New Year still to come, the shopping spree lasts a little longer. And in fact there's now a law in Belgium which doesn't allow end of the year sales: In theory, the sales can't start before the lst of January, though many shops do find a way round that and start their sales-period a little early.
SATOSHI IIJIMA picked up our programme in IBARAKI in JAPAN, though he says there is still interference from tho religious station KWHR which broadcasts from Hawaii.
Satoshi has laso filled in an application form for our ever—growing international listeners club, so a very warm welcome to him.
Any other people wishing to join oui international listeners club should just send us a letter asking for an application form. The address to write to is Brussels Calling, PO Box 26, 1000 Brussels in Belgium. I should point out that membership is free of charge and open to all. All we want you to do once that you are a member is send us two cortrect and sufficiently detailed reception reports per month. And in return you'll get our club echo magazine, our latest QSLs and some other RVI goodies. Here's the address once again:

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, thy King cometh unto thee; He is the righteous Saviour, and He shall speak peace unto the heathen.
